This institute is situated in a healthy atmosphere of five acres of land. The main purpose and objectives of this institution are to work for the tribal students for social and educational upliftment. Initially, the institution was started with 65 students and now near about 750 students are studying in our institution. The Institute imparts quality higher education and gets actively participated in national integration, community development, value education programs through the noble vision and guidance of Hon’ble Shri. V. G. Patil.

The Institute takes initiatives for integrated teaching-learning by inspiring teachers to go beyond the academic framework and focus on the intellectual, physical, moral, and ethical education of students. The teaching faculty avails ‘participatory teaching-learning process’ for students through seminars, group discussions, study tours, unit tests, mid-term exams, and practical examinations. For the benefit of academically poor and advanced learners, the college runs remedial teaching and special attention. ICT facilities are available to the students and the faculty.  To make teaching and learning more effective and to update the knowledge of the students, advanced ICT techniques are effectively used. Internal Quality Assurance Cell makes all-out efforts to enhance academic standards of the college through various events such as National, State, University level conferences /seminars /workshops /symposia.

This institution has been playing an instrumental role since its establishment in disseminating higher education among the tribal students who are the first generation learners.
